The new BICOM Communications office inspires creativity through controlled chaos. Scattered throughout are small house-like structures, tailored to accommodate the diverse range of employee personalities.
Architect Jean De Lessard wanted each workspace to invoke memories of campfires and summer vacations. Green turf, orange dots, chalkboard, exotic wood… each semi-private pod stands out. The irregular topography centers on open social areas arranged to facilitate energetic collaboration between colleagues – it’s like a little neighborhood.
We think it’s nice to see a modern office that embraces individuality and encourages a certain degree of independence while maintaining the flow and interactive potential of an open plan.
What kind of office layout do you prefer most: open plans or traditional offices? The hybrid approach of BICOM Communications seems like a solution that could please anyone.
