We love MINIM because their modern interiors are minimalistic yet so full of life, the Bright Duplex in Barcelona serving as a perfect example of the designer’s capabilities. Elina Vila and Agnes Blanch also have great taste in sensible furniture and art, making their interiors great sources of inspiration for everyday applications.
Large windows and good elevation flood the apartment with light. Windowed walls are painted bright reflective white, the interior core of the house painted a charcoal grey – a powerful and eye pleasing contrast. The floors look very rich and tropical.
The living room is our favorite space. A white modular couch creates the perfect dual-purpose space, one side for socializing and watching television and the other side facing the library for quieter moments. Throw pillows and a Jacobsen chair with bright magenta upholstery add the perfect amount of pop. The master bedroom uses the same trick with robin’s egg blue.
And what about that gorgeous terrace? The colorful Shell ottoman and Wave lounger are from Paola Lenti, part of the innovative Aqua line.
Sensible and slightly abstract – the Bright Duplex in Barcelona builds on a solid foundation of contemporary design yet seems flexible enough to evolve as trends come and go. What do you think? Stop by the comment section to share your critique.
