Often described as a museum of contemporary art, the truly unique Byblos Art Hotel strives to exceed those expectations – and has redefined the entire concept of design hotels in the process.
We could imagine getting lost among the fascinating art and artifacts.
Every layer of the lobby and gallery areas will reveal something new, from unusual Baroque-inspired furniture by Alessandro’s own firm, Atelier Mendini, to brilliant sculpture installations by Tony Cragg. You might even happen across the striking embroidery of Alighiero Boetti or transavantgarde creations by Mimmo Paladino.
Even the rooms feature brilliant artwork and fantastic modern furniture. Ron Arad and Philippe Starck are some of the major names utilized and many of the rooms have artwork by Beatriz Millar and Begonia Montalban.
The Byblos Art Hotel is incredible – it’s located near Verona and much to the delight of architecture tourists, the modern hotel by architect Ignazio Pellegrini is built around the central 15th century construction by influential Mannerist architect Michele Sanmicheli.
There is certainly a lot to see. We’d love to visit, wouldn’t you?
