Welcome to Leah Goren and Dylan Ousley’s Brooklyn Apartment – if you love peeking into the lives of people with great creative talent, then you’ll love this whimsical modern space. Dylan is a graphic designer and Leah is an illustrator and surface pattern extraordinaire, and their home definitely reflects their visual and spatial expertise.
The studio is our favorite space. Two desks, including a rather striking 1950s Steelcase, create dual creative zones for the residents. Rich unfinished shelves are at once stylish and utilitarian. Each workspace is outfitted with an iconic Eames side chair. A simple Bertoia diamond chair serves as a resting spot for the couple’s cat.
The kitchen is neat too – verdant shelves overflowing with houseplants line one of the windows to disguise the bars, and they do a very good job of it. The tiny ruffled curtains above the cabinets are a smart way to provide more storage space while keeping the space tidy.
