Truly spectacular – this House With Spatial Drama is completely unmatched, the subject of extensive architectural study and admiration.
This late Victorian received a complete redesign in the 1980s by renowned architect Brian Muller. The result is a breathtaking interior that invites dynamic interaction between composition and form, an arena of light and color and texture. This modern home is a cheerful and livable space to delight all the senses.
The split-level reception room is impressively warm: swathed in exposed brickwork and a canopy of lath and plaster, punctuated by pipes and service ladders. Opposing angles draw the eye. The reception opens into the gorgeous kitchen and dining, a live tree growing (planted by Muller) growing up through the middle.
A little fun trivia helps to round out the “Wow” factor – the previous owner was no other than actor Stephen Fry.
