Dimitris Economou did a fantastic job infusing the Oikia Panorama Residence with the perfect blend of homey comforts and sharp, sophisticated modern design.
Bold geometry stands in contrast with the organic flow of texture and contour cleverly interwoven by the use of striking repetition. The unique round windows, for example, carry their shape throughout the home in the form of Bubble chairs and spherical pendant lights.
Nature is another recurring theme – very appropriate, a logical expansion of the generous Grecian landscape as viewed through large windows that envelop the home. A beautiful natural rock wall in the dining room is the most physical representation of the intimate connection the Oikia Panorama Voulas shares with its surroundings.
By the way, that stone wall is also a waterfall. How cool is that? We love it!
Set against a light interior, the warm colors (brown, cream, and gold) seem earthy but not too rustic. Dimitris Economou used charcoal to define some of the intimate areas, dark and relaxing but surely very cozy when the sun sets and recessed lights turn on.
