We’re always excited to find interactive resources for kitchen planning, and Homebase really has it all – always a popular destination for budget-friendly remodeling projects, this retailer’s fabulous website caters to the DIY designer from start to finish.
Their fitted kitchens are dreamy. Homebase has all of the classic styles one could expect but they also have an incredible range of completely contemporary selections. Our favorite modern kitchen design picks include the Copenhagen collection (horizontal wood grain is everywhere in the design mags, and we’d love to see more of it!) and the oh-so-sleek Torino set. Of course, there are many more great styles to check out. The selection is very comprehensive.
The site excels as a source of inspiration. Homebase offers free design planning and initial appointments for your future fully fitted kitchen, but they also offer free resources for anyone who drops by the website – the project planning tools are definitely worth a look.
Project Planning from Homebase
Homebase has a useful online calculator for everything from tiles to insulation. Our favorite planning tool is the decorating application that lets you upload a photo of your kitchen and change the actual wallpaper and flooring right from the webpage. It’s really quite neat to see what kind of a difference these simple changes can make.
The buying guides may also come in handy during your project. The Help & Advice section explains (step by step) how to do common kitchen remodeling tasks, such as fitting a sliding door or laying ceramic tile. It’s always cool to know what to expect even if you end up going with a professional for the dirty work.
